Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has recently released the Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme (TTSS) Smartcard to simplify travel for TTSS participants.
The transition away from using paper travel dockets means participants have a payment method that is easier to carry, includes a photo for added security and works by simply tapping a taxi payment terminal where the subsidy portion of a TTSS fare is deducted.
To access the smartcard, participants are required to submit a signed consent form and photograph via https://concessions.transport.nsw.gov.au/ or via post using the return paid envelope provided in an introductory letter TfNSW recently sent out to all TTSS participants.
To support blind and low vision TTSS participants with submitting their photo and consent form, Vision Australia and TfNSW are partnering to host two TTSS Smartcard information sessions.
The sessions will also provide participants with an opportunity to seek further support from Transport representatives with smartcard related enquiries.
You can join one of our 60 minute sessions on 16 February at 6.30 pm or 23 February at 11.00 am via Zoom.
