In this 8-week video conference group, facilitated by a transdisciplinary team, teenagers will discuss a range of topics that will be decided by the group. Topics might include things like friendships and relationships, study, growing up, recreation, getting around, identity, finding a job, the future, and much more! Teens will have the opportunity to extend their social circle, asking questions of and providing answers to each other, nutting out ideas together, and feeling understood by one another. Facilitators will support the group to explore topics in a safe space, and will ensure each participant gets the most out of the experience.

“You guys have given me so much confidence that I know now that I'm not the only one that is visually impaired and I can talk to people that understand and go through similar life as me, and you guys know what it's like. It's just nice to know people. … it's given me a lot of confidence to voice my opinions.”
The Details
This program is open to clients of Vision Australia aged between 15 – 18 years who have not participated in a Teen Talk program prior to 2024.
Dates: 8 consecutive Tuesdays from 16 July to 3 September 2024.
Time by State:
5:00pm to 6:00pm WA
6:30pm to 7:30pm SA and NT
7:00pm to 8:00pm Vic, NSW, ACT, Tas, and QLD
Total Cost: $711.27 per participant
